RES Polyflow Recognized With Economic Development Award

Perry, Ohio / April 5, 2016 – RES Polyflow has been recognized by economic development officials in Steuben County IN for its commitment to the town of Ashley for a production facility that is slated to open in 2017.  The Invest Steuben Award was presented to RES Polyflow officials on March 31st at a luncheon sponsored by the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation and the Steuben County Industrial Guild. A total of ten companies were honored at the awards ceremony.

During the ceremony, Steuben County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Dave Koenig stated, “The Town of Ashley and Steuben County are happy to partner with RES Polyflow on their innovative plastics to fuel recycling project.  We look forward to being the headquarters for this new technology”.

Supported by state and local economic incentives totaling more than $4 Million, RES Polyflow announced in late 2015 that a production facility would be located in Steuben County and would attract $90 Million in capital investment to the area. When all phases of the project are completed a total of 136 full time jobs will be added to the local economy.

RES Polyflow CEO Jay Schabel remarked, “The stakeholders in Steuben County and the State of Indiana have been great champions of this project and I am honored to receive this award on behalf of the shareholders and associates of RES Polyflow.”

Once operational the Ashley production facility will take low value plastic scrap diverted from the waste stream and convert it into highly marketable petroleum blendstocks using the company’s proprietary process.  The company expects to break ground on Phase One of the project this summer.
